I don't think it's that strict on tents - as long as it's green and looks armyish, it should be ok. It's just bright orange uber-domes like Ste D's that are kept separate!

Ditto - not Zelting it this time round. I'll use the Army backup tent i pitched in the darkness after getting flooded out at CR

Thats correct....no sleeping in game! The main game will stop at 10pm, with only night missions taking place away from the CPs. have I missed something:)

Mmm, it says on the booking form...in game camping for period shelters, I`m presuming we will be able to sleep in them after 10pm when the game stops?
Also I`ve got an Italian camo shelter half, will I be able to put this up in the period camping zone as its very close to the Italian WW2 camo? :?

That will be fine mate, Its more a case of theming the camps with canvas rather than said mentioned bright Orange tent. Mind you, would make a great target for a bombing raid lol

Just a breif note ot say I stood on the beach on Tuesday, it is fecking mint  The woodland area is really good mature English woodland not pine plantation, and the camping areas will be excellent as well . The services building are good as well , showers proper bogs, good covered seating area.

That'll be right up the Allies street then - no roughing it like the Kameraden and 'making do' but still having an excellent time lmao

LOL, yeah, as the saying goes "any idiot can be uncomfortable". I got my fair share of pain climbing in the Alps years ago. Kipping out in -15 ambient with another -15 on top of that for the windchill. Whose the lightweight now ya south coast pansy :D

Chef - good to hear you'll be joining us. Your ability with a K98 scares the shit out of the allies ;)

The general steer would be that you should aim to be like a standard WW2 troop , and equipped as they would have been.

Two pistols and a shotty is a bit too much IMHO, but that's not to say it's not allowed.

One pistol and your main weapon should be enough.

What side are you going for, Axis or Allied?

The less gear you carry the less you'll lose and the more likely you'll use the equipment you have.

just a thought!!

As you arrive you will be checked in by a Ref and shown where to unload you gear. I did have 200 cool as skool tickets printed off as a gimik with an old world theatre ticket theme but one of my cats pissed on them as well as my only actual 1940s bit of kit (a gas bag) which I blew a hole in when the top of a strikeable grenade fell off and struck itself.

shit happens!

hope this helps and sorry about the tickets, they were a one off...guttted:(

Batteries and BBs? I`ve got 2x1400mah and 1x1200mah for my MP40, will these last the weekend?(I`m not too trigger happy!)
Also how many BBs will you be taking, I`ve put mine into 600 round baggies, got about 4800...way too many I think .
Just seeking advice from experienced weekenders and locap users.
Cheers :)
